I Am Not!
Primarily photographing in analogue format, the use of hand-made paper initially posed a challenge. The paper is too fragile to be used with photographic chemistry and often irregular and not suited for a digital printer. Nevertheless, the texture is ideal for photographic transfers, which have been very successful. With this project-- the tryptic portrait, the clarity of a photographic image does not exist; rather the observer is invited into the repetitious hidden impressions.
